Here's hoping that by Monday she no longer needs the machine and is showing signs of regaining conciousness.

Thinking of you all and keeping my fingers firmly crossed for good news at the beginning of the week.

Jemma I have been away for a bit and just seen your posting about your niece. So sorry to hear that she is in a bad way but reassuring to hear that she has made a little progress. I hope the weekend brings yet more good news and positive things for her.

Dear Jemma - have just read of Carrie-Anne's terrible accident and want you to know how sorry I am. I also hope and pray that the slight improvement she's beginning to show now will continue. My thoughts and prayers are very much with you and all her family.

Hi Jemma, even as a new member to this forum, I couldn't not send a message.
The thoughts of all my family are with you at this sad time.
I hope her recovery continues and will keep following this thread to keep up on the latest news.
Dirk and family.

Hi everyone
I saw Carrie-Ann on saturday and the swelling on her little face has gone down so much, you can see it is her now! Her little pointy nose is back to normal!
She is continuing to take some of her own breaths which is good.
I felt so good being there with her, she is well aware of what is going on because when a nurse does something to her her heart rate goes up, which is a good sign because it shows she is in there! The doctors are "cautiously optimistic" so at least they are saying the word optimistic?!
She is meant to be going down for the MRI today so it does show she has improved anough for them to do but i guess i shouldn't be too hopeful cause you never know??
Thanks for all of your lovely messages they are so kind and thoughtful.
I will print them out for her muma nd dad to read because they have helped me greatly!
Love to you all
Jemma

Good oh, fingers still firmly crossed. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, how old is Carrie-Ann?

who said life was easy eh?
Carrie-Ann developed an infection yesterday so they are fighting that today >:(
She did have the MRI scan at 9am but am still waiting to hear how it went.
Just when things were calming down, she gets an infection and it's worse because the accident caused her spleen to rupture so now she has no immune system! :-[
I just hope she keeps up her fighting spirit.
