Which tomatoes - Vilma or Venus?
« on: January 26, 2012, 23:11:43 »
I'm trying to decide between two small bush tomatoes: Vilma and Venus.
Have any of you tried either of them?

I tried both last year...but memory is so short.. ::) What I can remember..is that venus produced very small plants with orange toms....taste wise..ok, nice. Plants made upright growt..like small little bush. Only reason I remember venus is because the plants were so small and the colour of the fruit..all other varieties that I grew in same GH were red.
But vilma..I cannot remember a thing about it..I must grown it in a small tub. I can't be bad or I would have remembered it..nor it could not been exceptional or anything out of ordinary...either way.
Sorry..not much of a help. Go both.. ;) ;D

I know I haven't grown either... but agree with Goodlife... grow both and see for yourself!  :)

Thank you :)

I would like to grow both, but so far this year I have 63 varieties of tomato on the go :o
I'm only buying more because I have a £5 voucher ::)

Well 3 of mine haven't actually germinated yet, so we're level pegging  ;)
