The girl Sidiuri went to the market to purchase a turkey bird for our Yuletide festivities, having been told by the staff of the market that 50 turkeys and 50 geese were booked in for sale.
When she arrived, she found that no more than 10 geese and 20 ducks had actually arrived for them to sell.
The geese reached silly prices, but she purchased a pair of ducks for us to consume.
On my return home to Uruk of the Strong Walls, I discovered that they had won her over, and gained a reprieve, so I spent much of the Yuletide break creating a duck palace for them.
She thinks they are called "Donald" and "Daisy", but I refer to them as "Luncheon" and "Dinner" as a small hint that ducks are expected to produce eggs - or else....
