Aldi
« on: February 13, 2005, 09:41:07 »

Popped into Aldi yesterday and grabbed a few bargains.

This week they have fruit bushes for 99p.

I picked up Raspberries Malling Jewel and Glen Prosen   (three canes per pack),  Tayberry (unnamed 1 cane per pack) and gooseberry (Careless).   I went totally mad a spent eight quid in all…...Wow.   They also have currants red black and white.

Advertised in next week flyer, are packs of seed for 29p.  The ones shown in the picture were Carrot Autumn King and Radish French Breakfast, so will be back down there next week.

Thanks Parsley.

Blimey thats a good buy.

I've never grown any fruit before, but keep thinking about it, this would be a good way to start as the catalogues are so expensive.
Now my only problem is weres the nearest Aldi.
