Well, I have used up my own crops now anyway so it will be market bought ones for Xmas dinner. That dinner in the newspaper articles looked perfectly insipid! The spuddies the roasting tin looked more-ish though! I will try the parboiling method this year, I don't do roast spuds very often. I am going to serve Xmas duck with Brussels Sprouts with apple and bacon, honey glazed carrots, spiced sauteed pumpkin and roast and duchess potatoes. Yummy! And the best part is that you can get it mostly prepared the day before and actually sit your backside down a bit on Christmas day!
