White Onions and Red Cabbage
« on: October 21, 2011, 10:37:44 »
I would like to grow those lovely white onions which are really sweat to taste, and generally only see them in Europe, does anyone know the name of the variety or where to get them from as Dobies don't have them and I can't seem to find them anywhere?? :)

Also can anyone recommend a variety of Red Cabbage to grow? :) :)

These? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ONION-WHITE-SWEET-SPANISH-1000-FINEST-SEEDS-/390357600774?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Garden_PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN&hash=item5ae3204a06 Premier seeds have a good rep on this forum and are well worth browsing everything they've got cos the postage price is fixed.

For red cabbage... Red Drumhead, Kalibos... both did well for me this year.
