My marrow won

My marrows won the heaviest marrow competition today -

[attachment=1]
[attachment=2]

It's the first time I've ever grown 'real' marrows and I was thrilled with the result. The winner (on the left) was 46lb. 6oz. The other two were 30.6 and 31.1.

Thank you so much for the seeds Pete.  :)

Way to go, Squash!  Looks like a week of meals there X 10.

Thanks everyone  :)

I don't know the variety.  The seeds were from a 70lb marrow so it stood a good chance of being big.

I don't know what to do with it now - I don't like marrow!  I've already given one of them away to a plot holder but I might ask our Cats Protection lady if she can use the other two for her preserves.

Good idea about the Kit e Kat Mr Smith, I might try that next year!  ;)
