Reg's pond in Jersey

When I had an idea about constructing a pond at the bottom of my garden. To make it right I had to ask planning if I had to apply for permission from them. Normally if you want to build anything in Jersey you would first have to get an architect, a surveyor and an engineer and a lot of cash to pay them. Even if you wanted to build a paddling pool, you still would need permission. When I told planning them that I just wanted to build a fish pond, they said that it was fine and I could go ahead.

No one has said anything yet... it's been built for seventeen years and I don't think that they could have missed it. 180 feet long and holds 700 tons of water.

Reg I bet you could go swimming in that if you wanted! Its fab. Much better than having a lawn you have to mow several times a week in the summer.

That is really interesting and also amusing.
Lovely fish pond though perhaps it has a couple of mermaids as well.
