Musque de Provence (fairy tale pumkin)
« on: September 17, 2011, 23:42:00 »
i've grown some musque de provence pumkins which are a decent size but the problem i have is they are showing no sign of ripening, they are still a very dark green colour and should turn a redy brown when ripe.
i'm worried that i will run out of time for them to ripen as i live up north, would they ripen by themselves if i was to pick them when they are still green  :)

mine won't ripen on the plant this year, and they didn't last year either. They changed colour on storing but not to the fully ripened colour........they didn't go off though, and we had them as normal

i might give them another week and then pick them, looks like the plant is starting to die of now anyway  :)
