Well done and good luck, good time to get one, just in time to start Winter digging and applying compost / manure.
Take your time with the digging, get as many of the weeds and roots out as possible, this will save you so much time next year.

Get some broad beans going in pots ASAP, check all manure (and council compost too) with them for weedkiller residue.... my big shouty hint for next year....
