gonna check out the rootballs on the goji and the blueberry ones tomorrow. earlier this yr (feb time, i think) i bought a 'red haven' peach tree from aldi, and omg, the rootball system was hardly there.. i was quite disgusted really.. took till mid may before it came into leaf. it's doing ok now..

i don't know how i'm gonna discretely tip the plant out of it's pot w/o drawing any attention to myself.. do you think i should ask the manager if that would be possible?

Be bold just tip the plant gently out of the pot and have a look.

Be warned Tayberries are horrendously prickly.

At £1.99, is it not worth trying and persevering?

I mean, if it was in a 15 litre pot costing £25 for example, you'd rightly expect something for your money.

But a 9cm pot @ £1.99?

Hooray
I got two gooseberries and the last blueberry in the shop. They look really healthy and i cant wait to get them bedded in for the winter.

Ace just need some plums trees now and the fruit bed will be complete.

bought the blueberry and goji plants and they looked nice actually albeit v. young (prob 1yo cuttings) so i'll imagine they'll take a couple to get my first crop. i've replied to the other thread about the cross-pollination query on the blueberry as it's not a named variety as i'm kinda regretting buying the plant as i'll prob have to buy a couple of named varieties that can pollinate this one (that is if they all flower at the same time!! ??? ???)
