Raffia/Swedes
« on: June 28, 2011, 20:51:01 »
As usual I have planted rows too close, one day I will hopefully learn my lesson. However,I have discovered that all is not lost with the aid of raffia. My swedes and parsnips have come on a bundle in the past two weeks and are competing for light and space. So my answer, for this season at any rate,is to tie up the swede leaves with raffia, this helps light get to the parsnips which are between the swedes and beetroot on their far side.
The night was dark....they usually are!......Laurel & Hardy
