Can you recommend a good (ie - yummy, high yielding and problem-free) variety of early strawberries?

I already have Cambridge Favourite (mid-season) and another variety (late I think) called Wonderful Wimbledon. Now I just need early ones to make my strawberry empire complete!

Try and find Elvira or Rosie. Both are said to be early and with good flavour. Not tried them myself as I grow Cambridge, Hapil and Sarian.

I would not recommend Sarian to any one, they will be replaced at the end of this year with runners from Hapil and Cambridge. They crop very well over a long period but have little flavour.

I stick some Cambridge runners in the greenhouse to get earlies -might have left it too late this year though.
