bright green larvae
« on: January 27, 2005, 08:43:11 »
Hi all :D
I was at the plot picking some  lovely red kale when i noticed some bright green larvae almost a lime colour, hidden among the leaves, these are about 1/2  to 3/4 inch long, curled up like a leatherjacket, no photo i`m afraid any idea what they might be.
                                                 Adrian.

I found q few caterpillars amongst the leaves of  some winter  caulies i was picking a fortnight ago ..Looked like large white larvae to me ... I Hope the frost we had last week will see them off.     I thought this was very strange in January.
Cheers .. Jim

I still have bright green caterpillas on my kale, darn things, you would have thought the weather would have seen them off by now!  They are absolutely lime green, from the small white butterfly I think.
