Turnips & their leaves/tops?
« on: May 31, 2011, 18:47:11 »
Hi everyone, my turnips have huge leaves but havent swelled yet. Guess I may have over watered while we were having such a dry Spring so the growth has gone into the leaves?
Could I cut a few leaves from each plant to eat now (scrummy) or will this damage the chances of the turnips growing to maturity? Thanks

the turnips I grow are like that (Milan Purple Top). It's only a problem as far as the spacing is concerned (a lot more than you'd think)
