If I hadn't had a grandson.....
« on: April 10, 2011, 18:50:30 »
We've just spent the afternoon and many previous Sunday afternoons, watching my 15yr old grandson play footie. Before he was born being one of only sisters and having only daughters I knew football existed but I would never have dreamt I would go and watch it, regularly and ENJOY it !
My grandaughter often places a steadying hand on my arm and says "you don't have to jump up and down EVERY time they score a goal Nan "(she's 9)
So what do you folk do with grandchildren that you wouldn't have dreamt of doing ?

oh, so many things, discovering the beauty around me through their eyes. Having lots more time to spend with them than I ever had with my own. I just think they're a wonderful gift  ;D

Oh time and time again Manics. I cherish every minute with my two. They NEVER make me cross, not like their Mother, she was a little s.o.d.!!The funny thing is she thinks her children  are the worst ;D
Smile, it confuses people.

We are a girl orientated family. I had 3 sisters as did my mum. We have 3 girls who have 4 girls. It really makes me smile when eldest daughter says ''You'll never believe what they've been up to now''  ;D ;D ;D.

I have three grandsons and I love them to pieces! Any time spent with them is pure joy. This is a recent snap of them - I can't look at it without smiling!

Mine are at different, exciting stages.
One is 12, slowly turning into a teenager, one is 3, a bundle of laughs, one, a girl, is 2, lovely but too far away to see regularly and one who is 3 months old and the most beautiful child. But I said that about them all when they were born  ;D

Thanks , macmac!  :)

I'm the big knitter - but how those three sweaters came about is a long story!

Manics - you have a lovely family! I especially like the little one with the Elton John glasses and the Harry Potter scar!  :)
