leggy caulis
« on: April 24, 2011, 11:15:41 »
sowed caulis a week and a half ago..went on holiday...they are now very leggy (2 inches) and flopping over, not helped by the hot attic they were in and last week's heatwave. Are they rescuable?

We've found that putting them outside under a fleece (and keeping them watered, of course, in this hot weather) works wonders.

Prick them out into 3" pots (at least) sinking them down in the compost up to their seed leaves should help!

My caulis usually do well but are struggling this year.  Only been getting 2-3 plants per 12 sowings so I am on my third sowing already... not by choice.  Will persevere though.
