Bare Root Hedging
« on: March 31, 2011, 21:07:57 »
Evening all.

Have just ordered some bare root hedging (mix of berberis, holly & cotoneaster). Any suggestions for the best fertiliser/feed to bung in the trench before I put them in? The soil's pretty good, but I want to get them off to a good start.

I would say blood and bone it will release slowly over time, and stengthen the roots as they grow ;)

No offence intended to Mike, but you need to add bonemeal to the soil to encourage rootgrowth not F,B,& Bonemeal.
