Brambles

I know they produce berries - but ...
I don't want them - I want to get rid of them ...
How the heck do I do it !
Is it just a case of digging out as much of the root as you can - or is there a more scientific / easier way of going about it ?
Thanks

I wouldn't do such hard work as digging. I would use something like SBK. If you use something like round-up, which I like, I think you have to keep doing them but SBK is pretty deadly.
Good luck as they are a real pain in the butt.

The allotment i have just taken on had a load of brambles on it and someone kindly torched the lot of em before i got started. Dont know if this is a known method or if they had something against me but it made them a little easier to dig out all the same.
