Survey by major fundholders...
« on: February 21, 2011, 15:07:56 »
As an ARI mentor (East Midlands) I was sent the following today...

A group of high-profile funders is undertaking a survey to understand the activities, priorities and funding needs of organisations working on food and farming issues throughout the UK.

As allotments clearly fall into the remit of the survey I am forwarding this information to all ARI Mentors with the hope that you may be able to let allotments associations know about the survey and encourage them to take part.  This is an opportunity for allotments associations to let funders know about the problems they face in obtaining funding.

The survey has to be completed online and here is a link to the survey http://foodissues.census.sgizmo.com/s3/

The closing date is Monday 28th February 2011.

Please note that the survey can only be completed on behalf of an organisation, i.e. on behalf of an allotment association, and not by individuals.

I've checked with ARI and they are happy with me to put it up here for all you lovely site Secretaries to have a look at...

Hope you are able to fill it in for them...

David

I've had a quick look. A lot of it doesn't seem to apply to allotments; think I'll have to sort out a time when I can concentrate on it properly.

Thanks for the info.

The fundholders don't just fund allotments but want to know if we are struggling to get at the funds available..  :)

To be honest Anne, I don't know... as I'm not our treasurer I can't do it (not having the figures) so haven't looked at it that closely..  :-[

Phew - just finished....

Quite tricky, some of it, because of the spread of organisations it's aimed at. But I'd be interested to see what sort of feedback we get.

finished the survey, lots of stuff not applicable to allotments, but hey?

spoke to the nice chap Tom r.e. a couple of points / questions, he was very helpful.
he did say that all those who completed the survey would be contacted with the results and outcomes of the survey.
