Cleaned greenhouse - have I done enough?
« on: March 03, 2011, 23:05:29 »
I removed all staging, washed all the inside down with pine disinfectant water then cleaned the paving slabs and the staging before replacing it ready to put seedlings out early next month.

I had a major whitefly infestation last year so am wondering if the disinfectant wash will be enough - or would it help if I sprayed everything with Jeyes Fluid?

I'm also going to try planting marigolds alongside the toms., peppers and aubergines this year to see if that keeps the whitefly at bay!

Looking good Tricia - are the bricks that your greenhouse is standing on flat top up or inverted like mine? I always leave puddles of diluted Jeyes in mine  ;)

Have a great season  :)
