Sunflowers for seeds
« on: January 13, 2005, 16:39:26 »
Does anyone have any suggestions for a variety of sunflower that I could end up harvesting the seeds to eat?

Thanks all

I am not being, and I cannot spell? faceitious-can`t be bothered to check the spelling. But how about growing a couple or three from the plump seeds you can buy from shops?

It might just work.

i was pondering over a similar question -

can the seeds of all types of sunflower be eaten?

cos i have various varieties that i have and plan to put out this year after having a large harvest from a single flower last year (it was on a trial basis in my sun room - dont ask!).
they sure do put out seeds you can get loads from one flower!
