I was very pleased with my results last year.  I was eating new pots much sooner than I would normally have expected.  The challenge meant I gave them a little extra TLC.  So yes I am deinintely up for the challenge.

                             I want em saying

Scousers your first in again   ;)
Here goes, it's just a bit of fun, so no knockers OK , its just a bit of fun
Planting time weekend of 19th/20th February
First earlies would be best but any spuds will do, I seem to remember Gwynnethmarys Kestrels coming up a treat
No planting inside greenhouses or polytunnels or under any electrical heat
The idea is to try and warm the soil now with blankets, fleece, carpets, cardboard, newspaper or anything that comes to mind
Plant straight into the ground or in pots, bags, tubs, buckits etc, covering with fleece, cloches or the like
Digging up time is the weekend of 4th/5th of June, Tonybloke and Trevor D and I can't find it but it may be 1066's Birthday
The idea is to have a meal for two of new spuds on a plate about golf ball size
So warm the soil, keep them coverred and watch out for them frosts
People who have raised beds will have an advantage but what can one do
I'm going to try about 4 or 5 rocket spuds, so if your new to this just use a few, repeat do not put all your earlies in and blame me when it all goes tits up, only put in what your prepared to lose
Did I mention it's only a bit of fun
Best of British

Would love to but unfortunately I'll be in Spain that weekend, where hopefully the ground won't be needing warming up  ;)
