Expensive plant delivery charges?

Having priced up strawberry plants and raspberry canes I decided to order from Blackmoor nurseries instead of T&M. I got to the checkout on-line to find that delivery was £10 for a £43 order. One of the higher priced for delivery even though some of the stock was initially cheaper.
I have still ordered but was wondering if these are now average prices?

Lives in Cheshire. Light sandy soil. Loves no dig.

If you order from T&M through the gardeners world site P&P is free ;D.

I had a similar shock when I wanted to buy a particular camellia. The Duchy of Cornwall website was the worst: plant £8, p&p £15. In the end, ordered it from RHS Wisley and had a nice day out picking it up.
