Dried out Marzipan

I remember reading somewhere that you can resurrect dried out marzipan by putting it in the microwave oven.  Has anyone tried this or know of any other way to use it?.  ???

i haven't tried it but i have heard it works, but i reckon you would have to do it in little bursts so it doesn't over heat and then roll it out as quick as you can and get it on the cake!?
good luck

never heard of that one.  Let us know if it works as I have a lump left and if I haven't eaten it or used it by new year, I figure it will be useless!

I tried it but not a success-it was very, very hard though! :(

However, if it is only a little dried out, it works beautifully. My first attempt was on an opened packet which had obviously been kept far too long-what a waste!.

I then tried with some that was just a little too hard to form into marzipan sweets and it was lovely and pliable when it came out.  Just at reheat temperature. not high enough to cook it.
