Anyone within reach of Leicestershire who has produced pumpkin related goodies or fancies their chances at pumpkin carving is invited to to the Ellistown Community Primary School and Ellistown Allotment & Garden Society Pumpkin Event to encourage community involvement in gardening, healthy eating and to celebrate the Halloween.
The event will be held in the Community Centre at Ellistown Primary School on Saturday 30th October this is located within easy reach of the M1 and A42 near Coalville.
There will be a Children's Competition for the Best Painting which includes a pumpkin. Separate prizes are being offered for Key stage 1 and 2. Entry fee 50p per entry
There will also be competitions for the best Carved Pumpkin, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Soup, Pumpkin Chutney or Preserve. These will be open to both older children and adults. Entry Fee £1 per entry.
TIMETABLE
Entries to be delivered between 2.00 – 2.30pm. Judging will commence at 2.30pm
Winners will be announced from 3.00pm. Light Refreshments will available between 2.30-4pm
Event also includes measurement and presentation for Ellistown Allotment and Gardens Society Biggest Pumpkin Competition
