Topic: 1st Flower and Produce Show

Our first Flower and Produce show was held on Saturday organised by our small allotment association sub committee of 7 people. We started from nothing on 7th June to over 200 entries. Crowds of people passed through.

I got 5 1st places
1 2nd
1 3rd
1 Highly commended
1 commended

I won the fruit section; 2nd in the vege and 3rd in the flowers

2nd overall in best in show......not bad for a first timer!  ;D

Now my OH says my head is too big to fit through the door.........he'll have to cook his own meals then!

I'd do better if I was more green fingered and didn't go away for the wrong weekend this year :D

Well done indeed! I had two exhibits in mine and won one third prize.

Such shows are hard work, but worthwhile and great fun. I'm sure that, like me, you're looking forward to next years already.  :)

Yes ....our little sub committee is brimming with ideas for next year! I'm already planning what to grow.

How wonderful - our allotment group are having a go at our first vegetable competiton this year.  Just hope everyone joins in! :)
