wanted: Deep fat frier recipes
« on: September 07, 2010, 07:49:29 »
We have just bought a small deep fat frier to use on odd occations. I made prawns in beer batter last night and have a few flowers showing on the giant pumpkin, so they might get the same treatment.

Does anyone have any healthy(if such a thing) recipes?

I love deep fried bananas, scampi and chips.   I am sure your will get better ideas any moment.   I make sure I use good quality oil, but I am sure you do.  Best of frying.

why is it that fried foods are the best!?!
I'd have a look at some of the indian sancks - like pakora, samosa, or something like sweetcorn fritters or thai fish cakes and the like, or what about slices of aubergine with a coating of flour and spices ..... now that really would be norty  ;D

Home made doughnuts, and other fried sweeties  but you do need to have seperate fat for sweet things XX Jeannine
