I always do mine via Photobucket Duke, maybe worth trying that route?

Photobucket here also.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

I do not know how A4A gallery does the upload, but it may be that you are uploading very large files.

On most websites now where you upload photos, there is a small app that reduces the size of the photo and then uploads the reduced size, which keeps things quick.

However the older method and maybe how A4A works, is you upload the full size pic, and then the server reduces it after it has been up loaded.
With digital cameras producing files if 1 meg and greater as standard, it does mean a long upload time.

Also, your broadband upload speed is a lot slower than the download speed.

Have a look at your file size, if it is taking about 30sec for each meg, then this is probably the cause.
The only way to reduce the upload time would be to reduce the size of each photo first, but why bother that would probably take even longer.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!
