Numex vs Anaheim
« on: August 18, 2010, 00:52:42 »
I've grown Anaheim for a couple of years mostly cos I'd like to be abel to do those stuffed chillis as a guest food...... but thyey've not domne well for me, though this year they're looking a little better. Does anyone grow Numex (Big Jim) here? If so what's it like?

Numex was designed as stuffer with with flavor.
given a few days I could look up the several articles I found about the  variety when it was introduced.

There are lots of Numex varieties chriscross. I'm growing Espanola, which is long, thin and quite mild and Big Jim - which is supposedly the longest chilli. It is said to be hotter than the Espanola but not nearly as hot as the Mirasol. I've had some ripe Espanolas but the Big Jims are still green.
