having a sort out
« on: August 12, 2010, 17:00:06 »
Yup, I'm having a sort out of seeds that I either have too many of, given up on (Cauliflowers!), or didn't really work out that well for me and figured I'm sure there's some good homes on A4A for them

1.   Pea – Blauwschokker – a tall purple podded pea (the peas are green), very pretty. Probably best eaten as a dried pea. Sow by 2011. Mr Fothergill’s
2.   Tomato – Gartenperle, hanging basket type. Sow by 2011 Kings seeds
3.   Tomato – Gardener’s Delight (freebie packet and only a few seeds) Sow by 2013 Thompson & Morgan
4.   Cauliflower – Romanesco Early – Sow by 2010, Suttons
5.   Cabbage – Filderkraut – traditional German “shredding” variety – sow by 2011 Mr Fothergill’s
6.   Savoy – Tarvoy sow by 2011 Kings Seeds (spare packet)
7.   Cabbage – Hispi F1 sow by 2012 Kings Seeds
8.   Cauliflower – Sicily Purple (only a few seeds) More Veg
9.   Cauliflower – All Year Round Sow by 2012 Kings Seeds
10.   Beetroot Monorubra – Sow by 2012 Johnsons
11.   Aubergine Ophelia F1 – Johnsons
12.   Celery – Green Utah Sow by 2012 Kings Seeds

Some of the packets only have a few seeds in, others are a bit more plentiful

Oh, and I can't really think of anything that I want or need in return, so just let me know if you want any of them  :)

I would like to give the cabbage Filderkraut a try if still available. Are you sure you dont want something in return, perhaps  a few flower seeds, Lupin, tree Lupin, orShoo Fly Plant?

If you do have any of the purple podded pea I would adore some if you don't mind sending it here. I have lots of stuff as you know so just ask XX Jeannine

Right ho!

Jeannine - Blauwshokker peas
Bazzysbarn - Hispi, Gardeners Delight & Aubergine
IPT8 - Filderkraut
Growing4Twins - Celery
Nilly - Cauliflower – Romanesco Early and Sicily Purple -
Graceland - Pea – Blauwschokker, Beetroot Monorubra and Cabbage – Hispi F1
Jokey - pea blauwschokker, cauliflower romanesco, savoy and aubergine

So only the Gartenperle Tommies left  :D I'll have to check the aubergine packet as I'm not sure how many seeds there are in that one, but I'm sure I'll figure something out  ;)
And if you haven't already pm'd your addy can you do so, and I'll try and get them in the post later today or tomorrow - pending decorating, work, gardening oh and the great British weather !
Nice to know they will be put to good use  :)

no worries Chris you're welcome to the tommies, and right now I'm trying to sort out what I have and what is feasible to grow! I'm also signed up for Digeroo's bean swap so I think I'll wait until then.
pm me your addy and I'll get them in the post
