A Good Hare Day
« on: August 06, 2010, 18:39:11 »
Hundreds of years ago, sort of BD (Before Dan) some of us used to chat on the BBC (before they ruined it and drove us in here). Well, the first posting I ever made was about an early morning encounter with a hare. That posting led to a long and pleasant association (on the boards) with one Hyacinth (under a different name then). So this morning on my early (well mid morning) perambulation to the bottom of our lane I was very thrilled to be approached by a hare. It got to within a few yards before it realised I was there and turned tail and ran back into the Wheat field.
Back then I did not own a camera and this time I did not have one with me. Still a magical thing to see that close though.
So, Lishka, where are you now?
Gardening is the great leveller.

Hare, hare,
Remember the good old days....wonder how Lishka is?
Have been a very infrequent visitor to the boards in recent times, but good to recall the old days!
Hope you're well, we're lucky enough to see hares on occasions here. My late beautiful lurcher loved the lure of the chase but it is very open so pure hunters honour.
