Bees in the polytunnel
« on: June 30, 2010, 13:53:41 »
I am getting loads of bees in my polytunnel, which is great for pollination but they seem to spend most of their time trapped in the corners, trying to get out. Sometimes I find them crawling around in my picnic stuff, presumably having exhausted themselves.

Does anyone know how I coax them away from the roof and down to my plants, or out of the door? I have tried wafting them out with a fly swat but this only seems to annoy them!

Tie some brightly coloured luminous ribbon to the window opening where you want them to exit.  (Yellow, red)

Aha.. great ideas! Have some nasturtiums popping up, will transplant a couple.
Thanks
