pol hens and eggs

well i have eggs i want to know if this is normal when they first start i have hybrids

found the first egg wednesday late afternoon then the next came today friday at about 10 am so lay one miss a day lay one is this normal for pol birds

and the first egg was long and thin and the second one was small and more egg shaped i think it is just one thats laying at the minute

any help

Very normal! Until they get into a proper rythmn, you can expect laying to be quite hit and miss with maybe the odd soft shelled egg, wind egg, miss a day or two at a time. They will soon settle into a routine when their system is fully 'in gear'!.

wind egg.. ;D..that was new one for me...around here we call shelless eggs..leather eggs.. ;D

cracked them open today for dinner every one of them perfect and the first egg that was layed was a double yolker

Not a wind egg then Astraman, a wind egg is very small but is all white, no yolk!
