A white sparrow
« on: June 03, 2010, 21:09:50 »
Today I was sitting in my conservatory watching the young sparrows in my garden, I could not believe it when I saw a pure white sparrow. I have heard that there is an occasional Albino sparrow but I have never seen one before, have any of you? I did take a picture but am not really very familiar with putting pictures on the forums.

Regards to all you wildlife watchers.

Queenbee.

would love to see it. Also email it to Springwatch this week and it will probably get shown on TV  ;D

I don't think I've ever seen one.  Funnily enough it's only black birds that I've seen - blackbirds and jackdaws.

White sparrows are apparently very unusual.  This one made the Telegraph a couple of years ago.
