Sweetcorn sideshoots

Some of my larger sweetcorn plants have side shoots, should i take them of or just leave them?

When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

Sweetcorn have a uniquie way of reproducing

To cut off the side shoots is ranking on a level with removing the vital organ of the male of the species. A bit like neutering a cat.
