rainwater from a tarpaper roof
« on: May 22, 2010, 07:59:59 »
I have been told that you shouldn't use rainwater collected from a tarpaper roof to water vegetables. Is this right? Can it be used on flowers?
Does anyone know anything helpful about this?

Good question!  I think I'll ignore it and use the rainwater. Anyway the roof is old, so anything nasty (?) must have been washed away!

all the sheds on our allotments have these roofs, we all have water butts under the gutters, always used the water, too late if we shouldn't  ;D
