Cold snap- cucumbers
« on: May 12, 2010, 08:50:17 »
My cumcumbers in the greenhouse look rather sad after Mondays nights frost, i put in a parafin heater overnight and everything else looks OK. The greenhouse still smells of parafin, I'm wondering if these fumes would have done any harm (i left the door open slightly). is there any way of reviving the plants or are they doomed?

 or are they doomed?

The next few hours will tell you. If they recover then next time if a cold night is expected close the door and wrap the cus in fleece or newspaper-anything really.

Parafin fumes?-if your heaters are working properly I doubt it-smelly ,yes a bit but actually harmful?-I doubt it
