Lost chickens.
« on: May 04, 2010, 15:19:00 »
My daughter went out for dinner with her OH on Saturday evening & the babysitter said the chickens were in their coop. They have a large coop in a run. The next morning there were only 2 in the run. She couldn't find the missing 2, they bought 2 more yesterday & today all 4 have been taken by foxes. I can't see 1 fox taking 4 chickens? Is it possible they got the scent from the first 2 they had. BTW they run free all day in the garden. The run was built as a pheasant run by some workmen working on the house but they also do these runs for people.

If it was a fox there would be blood and feathers everywhere and they usually kill all the chickens and only take what they can carry. Sorry your daughter lost her girls jan. Sound like two legged fox to me.
