Laptop screen problem
« on: April 30, 2010, 09:39:17 »
I have a Toshiba Satellite that I bought just over a year ago and the screen has gone on it. It's coming up completely covered in lines and some black patches. I can plug-in a spare monitor but it's not really a long term solution. Spare screens are about a hundred quid but I'm not sure it's just the screen that is faulty. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? It's not the graphics card as the external monitor works fine.

Cheers

It might be a loose/damaged lead, try taking the case off and checking the thin ribbon that connects the motherboard to the screen, it might be worn.
