Peregrine in Winchester
« on: April 25, 2010, 19:07:28 »
Had a nice afternoon in Winchester this afternoon.  I watched what I think was a peregrine falcon hunting around the bishop's palace - flying up into the sun then stooping.  I didn't see it go for any pigeons, but there are a lot about so I'm sure that's what it was after.  I can't think it was anything else, sparrow hawks don't do that do they?  Anyone else seen it?
