I'm thinking of sinking an old washing up bowl and adding some rocks etc - what chance of newts down at my plot????  Anyone had any success?

Both my home pond and my allotment pond have attracted newts, and other allotment ponds have too, but there are already newts in the area.  I'm sure they range quite widely so if they're about I expect they'll visit.  What I don't often see is toads.  The newts have to share the pond with the frogs but I think they're happy to eat the tadpoles so they're OK with that.
