1 YEAR OR 2
« on: February 11, 2010, 09:08:35 »
Last year I cleared my plot in January stacking all the top layers of grass etc in large mounds and covered it in black plastic. Is it best to leave for another year or use it now.Last year I grew pumpkins through slits in the plastic what else could I grow through it if I leave it.
Many thanks.

Spread it, either evenly or to fill in low places. If you've got any waterlogging, use it to make raised beds. It's brilliant stuff but it's likely to produce a massive flush of seed seedlings. Either let these emerge and hoe them off before you plant, or use some sort of mulch to inhibit them. It's much easier than endless hoeing between rows.
