AGM of NorSALG
« on: February 06, 2010, 08:38:05 »
It's the AGM of NorSALG (norfolk branch of NSALG) this morning,(In East Dereham) so, Myself, Our Treasurer and a Committee member are off to show support,  (100 mile round trip).
It'll be good to see how other secretaries manage their sites / associations.

 ;)

Hope you have a good time... any "social" events like a seed swap or a cake stall on the side?  :-\

It was an interesting couple of hours!! met with reps from 11 other associations, heard of their trials and tribulations, and triumphs in the sheringham allotments saga, with progress on their new, 200 plot site http://www.northnorfolknews.co.uk/content/northnorfolknews/news/story.aspx?brand=NNNOnline&category=news&tBrand=NNNonline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED20%20Nov%202009%2009%3A10%3A40%3A043
When the agenda got down to the 'site report' sketch, only one of the reps had prepared a document for the minutes, outlining their associations progress in the last year. (Me!!) the secretary had to struggle with aural facts and figures from the rest of the reps. (hope I've set a precedent).
we took some snacks and cakes, there was a kitchen room attached to the hall and we all had tea and buffet afterwards.
Also present was our area mentor from the ARI, http://www.farmgarden.org.uk/ari/ handing out some useful leaflets and other literature.

lovely and sunny day in East Dereham, drove back home to sea-fog  :(
