Another one who just had to get started with some seed sowing. Started last week on a sunny window cill -
Hot Thai
Gelbe Kirshen - Early Yellow Cherry Chilli
Iranian Round
Nigel's Outdoor Green Chilli
Pretty In Purple
Wenk's Yellow Hots
Lemon Drop

The Hot Thai that I overwintered indoors is frankly looking miserable - and my neglect of said plant is testament to how awful it looks :-X

And welcome to A4A superfowell - sorry I don't have a greenhouse etc so can't help you out on your question - hopefully someone will be along shortly..... :D

Superfowell, my chilli seedlings have been in my outdoor unheated greenhouse (down south) since I did that last post, they haven't died. I've got a very small paraffin heater to keep the frost at bay.
Your chillies will be ok, keep them near to the house wall rather than by the windows at night.
I doubt that it would get below freezing at night anyway.

hi yes started last sunday ,just demon peppers in the prop at the min.
is any body grown them,if so how tall do they get.

The chillies I started in January are all doing well.
I've also started Big Jim,
lemon Drop
Caldero F2
Purple Tiger
Razamataz
Red Cherry
Jalmundo
Bhut Jolokia (thank you Rudd) which I'll give to friends later on if they do well, I'm afriad I'm too chicken to enter the hot hot zone!

Not grown them myself - but if these are the ones

Then they are nice and compact..

I have Bulgarian Carrot just germed, Dorset Naga going well and two types of Indian hot going pretty well as well as some over wintered varieties..
My Spanish Numex have completely failed - none of 6 have germed.. ???

Hi to all on A4A - Cheers from Oz. I hope you don't mind me sitting in, as your season is the reverse of mine and there's not going to be much action here for the next 6 months. Not to be out done, I have sowed 32 varieties of Chillies and Peppers and will carry them through our Winter, all being well.

Thanks Jayb - It ranges from about 10-14C here, with a bit of fluctuation during the day, often with low overnight temperatures 0-4C. Daylight hours are a lot longer than what you get there and I usually manage Carrots, Parsnip, Swede and Garlic during the cooler months, with good success rate.
I'm a bit of a fancier of tomatoes and chillies, although don't eat them much.

Yes Chillie and tomato obsesed too, and love eating both (trying some Polish Pastel and Grub's Mystery Green this year which I think are from over your way)

Our Summer this year was much better than last year, when we had our bad bushfires here (48C one day - a really hard day to do anything at all).

I'm sure you'll love Grub's Mystery Green, a very nice tomato sliced on a sandwich, one I do like very much.

The Cappia's shown in my avatar are a sweet pepper and very nice eating.

I'll keep one of most varieties and grow next season for eating if I can handle them and sell the rest in Spring. I do use them for seed saving even if I don't like them.

Hi Tricia - Thanks for the welcome.

We actually didn't get the deluge that hit Melbourne, but we did get a bit of welcome rain from it.

my seasons creeping along slowly running out of windowsill space rapidly at the moment and her that must be obeyed is starting to question the amount of plants :-X
