cabbage whites

I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

On my way to the compost bin this am, another hatch of caterpillars, chomping away at the sprouting.

And the blustery wind won't help my spraying -  (organically, of course!) - Tim

My full sympathies, Tim, I have managed to salvage enough growth for about 2 lbs of sprouts, but I'm wondering whether to harvest them or not as it is due to the copious amounts of dung produced by the cabbage whites (I had to keep hand picking off), which I tried to jet wash off with the hose. I'm worried it will have got in amongst the leaf layers :P. Rosie's crunchy omelettes spring to mind. I can just imagine the other half saying "This is a funny sauce you've put on the sprouts, love" at the christmas table!!

Providing I find a few later dung free sprouts, I leave them until after a frost, do I and do I blanch them to freeze, or will they keep until Christmas?

Love, Palefire
