Tomato Swapsie
« on: December 23, 2009, 10:02:07 »
I know it’s quite close to Christmas ;D and we already have a few swaps on the go, but does anyone fancy a tomato seed swap.

I’m thinking, if there is enough interest, of doing a Jeannie style one. I reckon there is time to organise and swap seeds in time for sowing early on. Possibly chillies too if its not too complicated.

If you want to join in, you will need a minimum of 10 seeds of one variety or ten seeds x however many varieties, a few multiples of same variety are ok, but not too many or the most common types.

These you send off to me. Packets go into a big pot for a bit of a jiggle then you receive different varieties back to the equivalent packs you sent in.

If you are interested post or pm. I’ll write up some more info if enough people want to have a go.

Hi, just an idea...maybe  don't do your swaps till I can get a parcel over to you, I have  quite a few  spares ,some rarely known ones that I can chip in. I will polybag then in tens  and ship em straight to you if you wish. Can you give me till after the New Year celebrations and I can get chance to get to them for you.

I don't want anthing in return just happy to give them a good home.

If you interested please PM your address to me and good luck with your swapsies.

XX Jeannine

Jeannine, what a wonderful and generous offer, thank you so much, it is much appreciated :) :) :). Would it be best to share them out as Jeannine gifts?

I can't see anything being finalised before the New Year, so would be very happy to wait, that's assuming there is enough interest ;D

Will Pm you

So far we have;

Lottiedolly
Robert-Brenchley
Gardentg44
Squash64
Keepondiggin
Reddyreddy

Jeannine has very kindly offered to send some seeds from her to be shared out, which is fantastic.

A few more people taking part would be great to make it more interesting for everyone. I’ll leave it open for a little, as it is a busy time of year. No need to post what seeds you have, just if you want to join chilli or tom swap or both!  ;D
