Topic: WARNING Major storm coming

I just logged onto metcheck and a warning is on there about a major storm next thursday Temperature is expected to go to -21 degrees and hurricane winds reaching nearly 400 mph. 
I wonder if this is right????????

Gosh - well we're getting it on Friday, but only wind of 293mph, which is enough to make the temperature of -2 degrees FEEL like -19 degrees!

Feel the wind speeds quoted are rather excessive our "hurricane" of 1987 reached 137mph & look at the devastation that caused.

Ah don't you just love the weather forecasters?

Here in Bulgaria it's different and the forecast is usually correct. We were forecast for snow today, I went outside at about midnight last night to check our small dog wasn't tangled up and the weather was quite mild  so thought maybe we'd escape.

Woke up to an inch of the white stuff on the ground this morning and it's still snowing now......looking very christmassy we are!

The kids will probably be out sledging tomorrow and think it's great, poor donkey however is not impressed and has refused to leave the barn in case she gets wet!

I am flying to Cyprus on Tuesday morning ,coming back in March ,so i hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
