poorly kitten
« on: October 22, 2009, 09:41:49 »
hi folks, our lovely cat had 5 kittens, four have successfully been rehomed, luckily for them in pairs, but we still have one at home as he isnt quite right.even though he is only 9 weeks old,he has been the vets 5 times now with bottom issues, mainly constipation.the vets words were that he has had a struggle to get started in life.
tonmorrow they are putting him under so they can have a proper explore and hopeully discover what the problem is. he is such a sweet little chap, with all the nursing and fuss we have grown so attatched to him, will break our hearts when we have to re home him! has anyone else had similar experience,we are dreading what news tomorrow could bring?

thanks everyone for your kind wishes!
well, seems to be good news, the vet has ruled out anything sinister (hernia twisted bowels etc etc) and he doesnt need surgery,we are to keep him on the laxitives and go back in 3 weeks for a check up. he will hopefully grow out of this, its swellings just inside his lil bottom.
he is certainly full of beans and happy to be home, bombing around the place like a loonie.
big phew, and im so pleased.felt bad for a couple who left the vets without the dog they went in with, both in massive floods of tears, bless
thanks again
