A message from(!), and news of, Ower TIM
« on: October 04, 2009, 11:41:49 »
I've been asked to let you all know that Tim has been "incarcerated" ::) - his words ;D

I came back from 2 weeks away late last night & this is the first chance I've had to pass on the news.

The mail I received from Caroline, his artist daughter, dated yesterday, is below:-

Dad is in hospital.  We had just got Mum back from a week in hospital (Dad was obviously extremely stressed by this) and within a couple of hours of having her home, he fell unconscious to the floor - the only thing that broke his fall was his face.  Luckily my sister Tess was here - she's a nurse - and she was brilliant. He smashed his teeth, lips (many stitches) and nose and several ribs. Anyway, off to hospital in ambulance - tests - then let out when the results were inconclusive.  He'd been back home about an hour or so when he tried to do it again - this time Tess and I stopped him crashing out onto the floor.  So, back to hospital. He's still in there over a week later and not expecting to get out until, possibly, next week.  They're messing him about a bit - saying pacemaker, then no pacemaker but Tessa's husband is a consultant cardiologist and is going to be "asking questions"! He may be going have a built in recorder for a year - so,no driving! But this means he could still be crashing to the ground like a giant redwood every time my back is turned!  I'm not impressed. It's a long way to fall when you're 6'3" and 89.

I'm sure that many of you have Tim's home address to send cards/letters for the family to take in to him, but if any of you don't and want to send him your wishes, you can PM me for his address, OK?

My dear Tim, I am so sorry to hear of recent events, and I hope that the answers are soon discovered as to why this is happening.

You must look a right old sight, bless ya  :-*

Never realised how tall you are, only 3 inches shorter than my dear old Dad  ;D A long to to fall though!

I do hope that both you and your wife return to better health very soon and thanks for letting us know.

Lots of love, Sue x x

Many thanks Lish for letting us know about Tim.
So sorry to hear that he is having to stay in Hospital. I do hope there will be better news soon. Did Tim's daughter say how Mrs P is?

Ouch!  Poor, poor Tim.  I do hope he's now on the mend - I wondered where he'd got to, as he posts so regularly.

Poor Tim. I sent him some magic sponges to clean his bath & hadn't heard from him. I felt there was something wrong but didn't know who to ask. Either that or he was to busy cleaning to be bothered with us.
